Announcing the Retirement of Mary Wheeler
After more than 30 years working in the field of Executive Search, Mary Wheeler, Senior Vice President at DRG Search, will be retiring in July of 2019.
Mary joined DRG over two decades ago after 17 years at two other search firms, Boyden Associates and Lamalie Amrop International.
“Mary has been an integral part of our company for the last 23 years, and her contributions and commitment to the nonprofit Human Services world have been incredible. She will be greatly missed, but we wish her the best in this next stage of her life”, said Dara Klarfeld, CEO at DRG Search.
Mary is a gifted search consultant with over three decades of executive search experience. She began her career at Boyden in corporate search before starting a practice in the nonprofit sector. She joined DRG Search in 1996, where she has amassed a large network of friends and clients and has established a legacy of successful placements in the Human Services sector.
Some of her notable placements at DRG Search have included: President and CEO of The Institute for Community Living (ICL); CEO of Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York, and Executive Director of the InterAgency Council of Developmental Disabilities Agencies, Inc.
To close her career, Mary has spearheaded several searches in 2018-2019 in the Human Services sector, including the Vice President of Human Resources for HeartShare Human Services of New York, the President of Maine Seacoast Mission, the Executive Director of Providence House and the Deputy Executive Director, Resource Development and Engagement for Goddard Riverside.
Mary is past president of the Canterbury Choral Society and a past board member of the YWCA of New York City and of the Hudson Guild. She currently sits on the board of the Frost Valley YMCA and is a member of her Co-Op board in New York.
