Arts & Culture Practice
DRG is a talent advisory group that serves nonprofit organizations that care for, inspire, and enrich the lives of people all over the world. Our team of talent advisors shares a commitment to the values that matter to our clients, bringing more than 30 years of experience to serving the nonprofit community.
As a talent advisory group, we offer a suite of services to help nonprofits search for, attract, and nurture innovative, diverse leadership for their organizations. We also help organizations maximize their impact through talent assessments, transition planning, and by providing insights into compensation and organizational design. Our mission is to support nonprofits in bringing together the right leadership, talent, culture, and structure – so people and organizations can thrive together.
As a new Associate and as part of the Research and Outreach team, you would be joining DRG at a time of rapid growth. The Research and Outreach team is the primary engine for our recruitment efforts. Reporting to the Director of Research and Outreach, you will work collaboratively with the team as well as with DRG’s Talent Consultants to drive candidate outreach and pool creation. You will lead candidate outreach and pool creation for our Arts and Culture searches while also supporting searches in other areas of our practice. On searches in the Arts space, you will frequently work closely with DRG’s lead consultant in the Arts, Eboni Gates.
Associate responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Use online resources (i.e., LinkedIn, GuideStar, Charity Navigator), proprietary DRG databases, and referrals to identify outstanding candidates.
• Engage candidates in preliminary conversations and first-round interviews, communicate with candidates throughout the search process, and conduct reference checks for finalist candidates.
• Maintain information related to search assignments in internal databases, ensuring that all materials in each stage of the search process are properly logged and recorded.
• Draft and produce client-facing deliverables including but not limited to candidate presentations.
• Create high-quality client proposals in support of consultant business development efforts.
We are looking for high-energy team players who have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are comfortable on the phone and have a passion for working with nonprofit organizations. Associates are great listeners who can manage multiple concurrent deadlines, have an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and are quick learners. This is a position for someone who has a superior work ethic and has a strong sense of accountability.
At DRG, we pride ourselves on supporting and developing internal talent. As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to attend client meetings and deepen your understanding of organizational structures, behavior and, of course, executive search. You will also have exposure to business development efforts and client management best practices. Associates at DRG have gone on to become Talent Consultants and play leadership roles in our company and in the nonprofit sector more broadly.
